Junior lightweight world titleholder Gervonta Davis was arrested early Friday for allegedly engaging in a street fight outside a Washington, D.C., bar.
"The argument escalated when both subjects began fighting mutually by punching each other with a closed fist about the upper body," according to the police report.
Davis and Rodriguez ran from the scene but were eventually apprehended by police, according to the police report.
Davis (20-0, 19 KOs) is a two-time 130-pound world titleholder.
In his next fight, Davis won a vacant world title by knocking out Jesus Cuellar in the third round on April 21 on the Adrien Broner-Jessie Vargas undercard at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
