UFC says 'don't pay attention' to Khabib Nurmagomedov-Floyd Mayweather potential boxing match

Ali Abdelaziz, Khabib Nurmagomedov's manager, tells Brett Okamoto why a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather isn't out of the realm of possibility.

LAS VEGAS -- UFC president Dana White says he has not been contacted by anyone associated with Floyd Mayweather regarding a boxing match against Khabib Nurmagomedov, despite both camps expressing interest in public.

Nurmagomedov (27-0), UFC's lightweight champion, is coming off a submission victory against Conor McGregor in the highest-selling fight in UFC history.

Nurmagomedov's manager, Ali Abdelaziz, told ESPN on Thursday that Nurmagomedov would certainly entertain the idea.

Former interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson (24-3) is a potential matchup for Nurmagomedov, although Abdelaziz said he prefers a higher-profile opponent.
